Burns’ Tasting 2019 - York

If you were to say Robert Burns’ birthday is just an excuse for us to break out the good stuff, we would say ‘No, no, no, no!’ Then we might soften a little and say, ‘well…maybe’.

The truth is somewhere in between, with a respectful nod to the Bard but with the emphasis very much on the whisky. What you can be sure of is that we will be bringing some of our favourite drams, and you can be sure we only drink the good stuff. We’re also including an authentic half-time supper of haggis, neeps and tatties.

This tasting features six whiskies and as usual, you won’t be tasting these whiskies alone. You’ll be in the company of fellow whisky folk and of course one of our whisky experts, who will be on hand to entertain and enlighten you in the ways of the dram.

Brigantes is our favourite pub in York, and we should know as it’s our home city! A hearty, fantastic range of real ales (on pump and in bottle), with homemade food and lovely staff.
