The company has been based in the heart of Speyside since it was established in 1890 – a region recognised as the spiritual home of malt whisky. Forsyths has continued to develop and grow, with diversification and expansion into the group of companies it is today. Over the years technology has changed and new welding techniques have been introduced to replace the traditional riveting process, but grassroots traditions such as hand beating the various shapes have remained to ensure continuous high standards of quality.

The company works on a range of projects, from small right through to the design and build of full turnkey distilleries. It also works on new plants as well as expansions and upgrades worldwide, using highly skilled design and fabrication teams.

Forsyths has current contracts in Japan, Taiwan, China, South Korea, Caribbean, Mexico, Thailand, Wales, Ireland, England and America as well as carrying out its biggest contract to date – the new Macallan Distillery in Speyside, Scotland. Other standout projects for the company include Clydeside in Glasgow, Lindores Abbey distillery, Glenwyvis distillery, Balcones distillery in Texas, Red Bull Thailand, Yamazaki in Japan and the English Whisky Co, to name but a few.
