Celtic Whisky Dreams is a small whisky shop and bottler based in Ansbach, Germany and owned by Peter Augstein. It has only a small handful of young single casks to its name, all bottled at cask strength from distilleries such as Bowmore, Aultmore and Caol Ila.
Celtic Whisky Dreams History
In 1998 Peter Augstein founded German whisky club the Celtic Whisky Circle, and would supply its tasting using stock purchased from Otto Steudel’s Celtic Whisk(e)y & Versand shop in Nuremberg.
Several years later, in 2007, Augstein established his own shop in the centre of Ansbach. Although the premises was owned by Iveta and Peter Speiss, Augstein ran the business, and created a small of independent bottlings under the Celtic Whisky Dreams label.
