Acla da Fans Profile
Based in the Swiss duty free region of Samnaun, Acla Da Fans is a duty free retailer selling a wide range of classical duty free products such as cosmetics, cigarettes, jewelry and whisky. It has been releasing a number of independent single casks over the past few years, all of which are bottled at cask strength under the company’s Acla Selection label. Some older whiskies are bottled under the Acla Special Selection series.
Acla da Fans History
Acla Da Fans was founded in 1985 by Cla Famos as a retail shopping centre initially selling only duty free cosmetic and luxury goods. Acla Da Fans began to specialise in single malts in 1997, and quickly developed a retail stock of over 800 different bottlings. Due to problems associated with securing meaningful allocations of the popular independent bottlings, the company eventually decided to release its own in 2013.
The current managing director of Acla da Fans and the entire shopping centre since 2002 is Bettina Zannier who joined the company in 2000 initially as head of marketing.
