Highland single malt Scotch whisky

The farm distillery was located on a stream also called Black Burn, which supplied water to the site on its way north to the River Don.

It stood on what is today Woodburn Road, a residential street in the village on the outskirts of Aberdeen.

Blackburn History

Like so many new distilleries at the start of the 19th century, Blackburn distillery lived a pretty short life. Opened in 1825, it was licensed to the firm Wilson and Co. However the company was dissolved in 1830 and Blackburn was closed.
