Colt History

Colt was produced by Glasgow’s Kintocher Whisky Co. in the early 1960s exclusively for the Swiss market, and is now extremely rare.

The Rum Company of Basel (now based in Reinach), owned Kintocher Whisky Co though its Glasgow-based subsidiary Acredyke Whisky Ltd of Bothwell Street, which was registered in August 1960. Acredyke has been dormant wince the 1980s, while Kintocher Whisky Co. was struck from the companies register in 1985.
