Glenforest
The Scotch whisky arm of one of Europe’s largest beverage manufacturers and distributors.
Most likely Fairney Glen distillery stood near Fairney Hill, just west of Fraserburgh in Aberdeen's most north-east corner. It probably sat between the A98 Watermill Road and the B9031 road to Sandhaven, beside a burn which flows into the North Sea.
The area is now an industrial estate. There’s no ‘glen’ to be found, but the name was doubtless chosen as it sounded better.
The distillery was licensed to Andrew Denholm and Co. from 1828-30.

Also known as Phingask, this lost Fraserburgh distillery was relatively successful.
