Badarrach
Badarrach was a distillery situated just south of the Kyle of Sutherland in Strath Oykel.
Also spelled Glenelrig, the distillery operated for just one year at Slamannan from 1825-26. Its OS coordinates place the distillery three to four miles south of Falkirk and two miles north-west of Avonbridge on a burn that feeds in to the Boxton Burn.
Current maps show nothing whatsoever on the supposed distillery site. However, there is a house called Glenalrigg Lodge some distance to the north.
Glenalrig distillery was licensed to Forrester, Ogilvie and Co. in 1825, but the firm was sequestrated the following year, and the distillery subsequently closed.
