A Perthshire distillery active in the 1820s, which also went by the name Dunkeld.
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
The distillery stood at Haughend Farm, just east of Dunkeld in Perthshire and uphill from the River Tay with a burn running past. The farm is still very much there today and was listed (Category B) in 1971.
James Moncur licensed Haughend distillery in either the late 1830s or possibly 1840, but was sequestrated in 1842.
- 1840 (or possibly earlier) Licensed to James Moncur
- 1842 Moncur sequestrated, distillery closed
Perth and Kinross
The small town of Dunkeld housed a distillery that operated for just a few years in the 1800s.
A lost distillery located at the town of the same name, close to the River Tay.
Perhaps a misspelling of Duntanlich, the site of two farms near Pitlochry.
