Speyside vintage-focused distillery.
Originally a subsidiary of Robertson & Baxter, Row & Company Ltd. was the appointed southern agent of the North British distillery. The company is now a 50/50 joint venture between the Edrington Group and ITM (UK) Ltd, part of the French Intermarche chain of supermarkets.
Row & Company Ltd. was formed in London in 1934 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Robertson & Co. (later Robertson & Baxter Ltd.). It was appointed the sole agent for grain distillery North British in England and Wales, mainly selling spirit to the gin trade.
The company also bottled the Glen Graeme ‘unblended pot still malt’ whisky, a bottling produced for the American market.
Today the company is a 50/50 joint venture between Edrington and ITM (UK) Ltd., part of the French supermarket group Intermarché.
